A Greek Orthodox church in Lyon, France, was recently attacked.
According to the French News Agency, there is at least one injured. This is the priest of the church, of Greek citizenship, who was shot as he was locking the church.

According to BFMTV, citing police sources, the perpetrator was alone, approached the priest as he closed the church on Saint Lazare Street and shot him twice with a shotgun.
The priest is said to have been shot with a shotgun in the chest and is in serious condition, while the perpetrator escapes arrest.

The Interior Ministry tweeted that the incident took place in the Jean-Mare area of the 7th arrondissement of Lyon and that security and rescue forces had rushed to the scene.
