What does the Official Gazette say – Who and how can move at night – Until 5a.m. in the morning the traffic ban for the areas located at level 3 (Increased Surveillance) and level 4 (Increased Risk).
The implementation of the new measures for the treatment of the coronavirus pandemic in the “orange” areas -level 3- started at 6 o’clock on Saturday morning, with the main ones being the use of a mask in all outdoor and indoor areas and the prohibition of traffic by 12:30 after midnight.
On Saturday, the Government Gazette for the new protection measures for the second wave of pandemic was published, in which measures are specified for all regions, regardless the epidemiological level of each region.
Journalists and media people can move in the same process as they did during the lockdown phase of the first phase of the pandemic; private sector workers must carry an authorization certificate from their employer; those must move during the prohibition hours, such as self-employed, tradesmen, self-employed, they fill in the form that will be again in the information system “ERGANI”. In addition, the mandatory use of the mask in all public services and private companies, by employees and the public, as well as the obligation of telework for at least 20% of employees.
In addition, traffic is prohibited from 12:30 after midnight until 5 in the morning, for areas located at level 3 (Increased Surveillance) and level 4 (Increased Risk).

Who can move
Only those citizens who meet the following conditions have the right to travel without restrictions:
– Journalists and media people travel in the same process as they did during the lockdown period of the first phase of the pandemic, i.e. by showing their journalistic identity and their employer’s certificate, which should be renewed every 14 days.
– Private sector employees must have authorization certificate from the employer. In order to obtain the certificate of registration of employees, who must go or leave their job, the employer must enter the information system ERGANI, fill in the appropriate form and send it to the employee who can show it to the police checks in printed or electronic form. The authenticity of the document is certified by the protocol number on it. The form is completed before the move and the employer must provide it and the employee must show it to the control bodies.
– In the case of other employees, natural persons, who have to move during the prohibition hours, such as self-employed, tradesmen, self-employed, they fill in the corresponding form that will be again in the information system “ERGANI” and which they must fill in before their movement, entering with their codes from taxisnet.
– Civil servants for their exceptional travel must bring with them their police ID or passport as well as a certificate of movement, printed or electronic form. The movement certificate is issued through the application of the register of human resources of the Greek state on the website apografi.gov.gr and exceptionally with a certificate prepared under the responsibility of the competent superior staff.
In addition, from today, retail and service companies in the regional units belonging to level 4, i.e. in Kastoria and Kozani, will operate under the strict conditions of level 3.
The same will apply to hairdressers, manicure – pedicure services and beauty salons in level 4 areas, which will operate as in level 3.
Finally, in terms of schools, students in the “orange” and “red” areas will henceforth wear masks for the hours they will be at the facility. This means that the use of a mask is established during breaks.
