The University of Oxford announced that it is suspending testing in children and adolescents of the vaccine against Covid-19 that it developed together with the British-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, awaiting the opinion of the British regulatory authority.

For its part, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) does not confirm that it has already reached a conclusion linking the AstraZeneca vaccine to a rare thrombosis syndrome and notes that the evaluation is ongoing with reference to official announcements expected in the near future.
